Gather the family from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. June 25 for the 5th annual Art in the Garden Festival at Otsego County’s beautiful Demonstration Gardens and Conservation Forest off Livingston Boulevard in Gaylord.
Art in the Garden is a celebration of nature and art. This conservation-based festival event offers free hands-on workshops for kids and adults.
Learn about the animals of northern Michigan, create a fairy garden, a work of art using a tree branch or a puddle stone for your garden.
Make one-of-a-kind greeting cards from recycled paper mixed with wildflower seeds, a bird house from “repurposed” materials or decorate a flower pot.
Kids can take a “fun run,” an outdoor nature hike, learn to identify animal tracks and more.
Everyone can take a tour of the native plant greenhouse and view Mother Nature’s bounty in the garden
Area musicians will supply the soundtrack for the festivities.
Art in the Garden features Northern Michigan artists and their work for display and sale, from paintings to woodcarvings, to photography and jewelry.
Local nonprofit organizations will sell treats to benefit their organizations.
The day will be full of art, music, food, fun—and education-- in this celebration of nature and art.
Admission is free—donations to continue programs at the Otsego Conservation District are appreciated.
The event is supported by many generous community sponsors.
