Biking
Mountain bikers relish the chance to cruise along a sinuous single track, while other cyclists go for distance on the pavement. Even if you’re just taking a leisurely ride through your neighborhood, stretching out your legs feels awesome and the fresh air will brighten your mood.
Hiking
You don’t have to commit to a weekend-long backpacking excursion – simply walking through a natural area is one of the best stress relievers and mood-enhancing activities you will find. Hiking allows you to explore the forests around you, whether big or small, enjoying the sounds of birds, warmth of the sun on your skin and scent of blooming wildflowers.
Viewing Wildlife
And speaking of birds…this is a spectacular time to start taking in your local wildlife! Bird watching is a favorite year-round hobby for many, but if you look closely, critters of all shapes and sizes are moving around. Visit ponds to look for frogs and turtles and possibly spot beavers, muskrats or even deer along the way.
